Your domain deserves a real inbox.

Freemail turns any domain you own into a full send-and-receive mailbox — you@yourdomain.com, threads, attachments, the works. Five DNS records. About ten minutes. No mail server, ever.

How it works

Four steps. No servers, no consultants.

Everything happens in your browser and your registrar's DNS panel. If you can copy and paste, you can run email on your own domain.

1

Create your account

Email, password, done. Verify your email address and you're in.

~1 minute

2

Connect your domain

Type your domain and paste a free Resend API key — the guide shows you where to get one.

~2 minutes

3

Paste 5 DNS records

Copy each record into your registrar's DNS panel, hit Verify, and watch them turn green.

~5 minutes

4

Send & receive

Add addresses like hello@ — or a catch-all — and your inbox is live.

The product

Reads like the inbox you already know.

Conversation threads, stars, attachments, compose — a clean mailbox without the learning curve. Nothing to install.

What you get

Small product. Serious plumbing.

The parts of email that are hard to get right, done right — and none of the bloat.

Any address on your domain

hello@, billing@, you@ — create addresses instantly, or enable catch-all and receive everything.

Real conversations

Replies thread together like Gmail. Sent and received mail live in one conversation.

Attachments handled

Send and receive attachments right from the inbox.

Your quota is yours

On the Free plan mail flows through your own Resend account — nobody else's traffic eats your limits.

Deliverability built in

SPF and DKIM records are generated for you, so your mail is authenticated from day one.

Private by design

Your API keys are encrypted at rest. No ads, no inbox scanning, no reselling anything.

Pricing

Starts free. Stays honest.

Every plan is the full product — same inbox, same deliverability, your own free Resend key for sending. Paid plans move your mail to the cloud and raise the limits.

Questions

Asked and answered.

Do I need to run a mail server?

No. Your DNS records point at managed infrastructure; Freemail handles receiving, storage, and sending. You never touch a server.

What's Resend, and why do I need a key?

Resend is an email delivery service with a generous free tier. On every plan, your mail travels through your own Resend account — your quota stays yours, and Freemail adds no send caps of its own. If you upgrade your Resend plan, your sending limit grows with it.

Will my mail land in spam?

Setup includes SPF and DKIM — the authentication standards inbox providers check. The guide also covers optional DMARC for extra strictness.

My domain already gets email elsewhere. What happens?

Switching your MX records moves incoming mail to Freemail. If you have existing mailboxes (e.g. Google Workspace), read the guide's migration notes first.

Is my mail private?

Paid-plan mail is stored on Cloudflare infrastructure; Free-plan mail lives in your browser. API keys are encrypted at rest, and nothing is scanned, mined, or sold. The business model is the pricing table above.

What does "browser storage" mean on the Free plan?

Incoming mail waits in a temporary server buffer only until your browser collects it — then our copy is deleted. Your mail is kept by your browser on this device: clearing browsing data deletes it, and other devices can't see it. Use "Export mail" for backups. Upgrading moves you to cloud storage on every device.

What if I get stuck?

The step-by-step guide covers the common registrars and the mistakes that cause most failures. Still stuck? Email us — we answer.

Is Freemail really free?

Yes. The Free plan is $0 with no card: one domain, two addresses, and a full send-and-receive inbox. Mail travels through your own free Resend key (Resend's free tier allows 100 emails a day) and lives in your browser rather than our cloud. Pro at $5/month and Team at $15/month move your mail to cloud storage on every device and raise the domain and storage limits — you still bring your own Resend key.

How is Freemail different from email forwarding like ImprovMX or Cloudflare Email Routing?

Forwarding services redirect your domain's mail into an inbox you already have — and on their free tiers you can't reply as you@yourdomain.com. Freemail is the inbox: send and receive from one place, threads and attachments included. See forwarding vs a real mailbox and every free option compared.
